Surreal Catrina

The Catrina figure has always fascinated me — she represents the Mexican tradition of celebrating death as part of life. In this piece, I split her face between two worlds: the warm, ornamented Catrina and the cold, ethereal moon. Surrounded by symbols of transformation — a monarch butterfly, a dragonfly, a black cat. This piece found a collector who understood its depth.
