TEJIDO —
a projection woven by voice.
Light particles on the wall react in real time to sound. When a person speaks or sings into a microphone, the particles build a geometric pattern inspired by Wayuu weaving, with shapes and colors that change depending on the voice. The finished weaving stays on the wall until the next person creates a new one.

The patterns come from the geometry of Wayuu weaving, an ancestral practice of the Indigenous people of La Guajira, between Colombia and Venezuela. Each one is generated from the voice of the person at the microphone: pitch, volume and rhythm decide the shapes and the colors. Every voice is different, so no two patterns are the same.
